These Sites are quite popular within their niches, and are text heavy - so they pop up in searches for many related search terms. None have hidden text or scams to fool search engines - so they appear in many directories and search engines. The number of sites linking to them varies a lot, mostly with age. But as the sites are stable, fully functional (and checked / updated regularly), good links gradually build up, and Google PR builds up too.

In summary; I'm proud of them, and I know my loyal visitors do read the ads, as I'm very happy with my Adsense response.

Banners

Where? - Top Of Page around the site.

These Sites use a dynamic banner rotation system (javascript). This allows for a random banner to be generated as the page loads. There will be twelve banner options - you will be able to purchase two (showing once every six page views, on average), three (showing one in four), four (showing one in three), or six of these options (showing one in two page views).

Pages will be appear different at each visit - so your banner is more likely to be noticed than when it appears in the same place every day.

Banners will not be allowed to appear as sponsorship - so a horizontal rule or other means will ensure separation. This does give the advantage of reducing clutter and displaying banners cleanly [Example].

Plain HTML banners can be arranged.

Buttons

Most of the sites can accept buttons, usually at top righ and/or top left of the page. Maximum dimensions would be about 120x60.

Where? - Button ads may be on the front page only, or nominated inside pages - or, if preferred, on every page. Price varies with site; usually around £25 -50 ($50-100) per button, pcm - but this does vary with the site.

Text Ads

There's several options here; depending on your needs and a little on the site's page design:

Please note: to avoid any misunderstandings, all text ads will be "nofollow"; this ensures complete separation between 'editorial' content and recommendations from advertising.

1. An ad below the page's adsense block in the left margin, using the same colours and similar dimensions as one adsense ad.

2. Placed toward the foot of the page (maximum two links allowed, each with a sentence of explanation, marked 'advertisement').

3. A single linked phrase in a small box at top left and or top right of the page.

4. A one-word link adjacent to the adsense "Link Unit" below the page title, above the content

In some cases, the ad may have its own background color and text colours - subject to acceptance.

I do not accept 'run of text' ads.

Exclusivity May Be Possible

At small extra cost, depending on the arrangement agreed; for example, if you advertise blue widgets, I can undertake not to accept further blue widget clients; perhaps even exclude all other widgets.
